O's Manger dismissed

Um, gee, I bet Frank Robinson is glad there isn't an owner at the moment, a single owner, as he might be in the situation Lee Mazzilli is in now.

Though, unlike Robinson:
" Players recently voiced displeasure with Mazzilli in private, and according to a club source, shortstop Miguel Tejada, once a big Mazzilli supporter, called a team meeting and said the team would have to win despite Mazzilli. "

Bench coach Perlozzo named interim manager. "Perlozzo, 54, is in his 10th season with the Orioles. He spent his first five seasons as third base coach before moving into the role of bench coach in 2001. He is popular among the players and was a candidate for the job after the club dimissed Mike Hargrove following the 2003 season. Perlozzo previously was a coach with the Cincinnati Reds, Seattle Mariners and New York Mets. "

Last Night's Game:
Nationals trailing 1-0 in 4th inning when Wilson hits long 2 run home-run over center-field fence. Johnson hit his 10th home-run of the year in the bottom of the 8th to move the game out of a one-run game. Nationals win 3-1. Armas is now 5-0 at home, but had to leave early because of shouldar injury. Ayala is now 1-3 as a batter, and held the Dodgers scoreless through two critical innings, then Stanton got one out in the 8th, then Majewski closed out the 8th, and Cordero recorded his 36th save by pitching the ninth, though in his normal "exciting" style (gave up a hit).

ESPN.com box score. Nationals.com recap.

Right about to leave for tonights game, with Patterson against Penny, with a chance at a series win.
